Who Will Win the WNBA Championship? Minnesota Lynx Look to Avenge WNBA Finals Loss

The 2025 WNBA season tips off on Friday, May 16th and the Dimers crew is ready to roll.
Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and the championship-winning New York Liberty dominated the headlines last year with this season already primed for plenty of fantastic storylines, like a talented incoming rookie class with the likes of Page Bueckers, Haley Van Lith and Dominque Malonga. Plus, this is set to be the biggest WNBA season yet - literally - as the league as added a 13th team, the Golden State Valkyries, one of several expansion teams coming down the pipeline, as well as the first best-of-seven series for the WNBA Finals.
We can not wait for the action to begin - after all, we dominated last year's WNBA season from all angles.
To kick off what we hope is another successful WNBA betting campaign, we're looking at some preseason futures bets worth a look, namely to win the WNBA Championship.
We'll also show you how to get a free one-month subscription to WNBA League Pass with a bet on any one these teams.

Best Bets to Win the WNBA Championship
Below, you will find the three teams we've identified with the best odds, based on value, to win the WNBA Championship. These predictions are based on season-long simulations powered by our WNBA predictive model.
1. Indiana Fever (+390 on FanDuel)
Last season: Eliminated in first round of playoffs
Our first bet to win the WNBA Championship is on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
The Fever beat the odds and made it to the postseason last year off a 20-20 record, before bowing out to the Connecticut Sun in a two-game sweep. If you ever wonder how fast things can change year-to-year, the Sun are +50000 to win the Championship, while the Fever are a top four contender on the sportsbooks.
In addition to hiring Sun Head Coach Stephanie White, the Fever have turned over more than half of their roster, retaining standout Dimers Hall of Famer Kelsey Mitchell and adding veterans Natsha Howard and DeWanna Bonner to shore up their prowess in the paint.
A strong combination of young talent and veteran experience should push the Fever to the top of the standings, though if it takes a few weeks to come together, you may be able to get an even better price.
Dimers gives Indiana a 19.6% probability to win it all in Caitlin Clark's second season, one in which she's also the MVP frontrunner. That's our second-highest probability, just slightly over the Aces at slightly worse odds.
2. Minnesota Lynx (+400 on BetMGM)
Last season: Lost championship
The Minnesota Lynx took it down to the wire last season, losing 67-62 the to New York Liberty in overtime of Game 5 in the WNBA Finals, and it can't get much closer than that.
They'll welcome back their 2023 No. 2 overall pick Diamond Miller after injury cost her most of last season which gives them a more dynamic attack on offense, and added three-point shooter Karlie Samuelson from the Mystics. Other than that, they will deploy much of the same roster, including star Napheesa Collier, Alanna Smith and postseason standout Courtney Williams.
Perhaps a risky move, given the notable roster shakeups seen across the rest of the league, but the small changes could work best for a team that needed just a couple of better minutes late in Game 5 to close it out.
Running it back with a different result in the WNBA Finals will come in at +400 odds, best available at BetMGM Sportsbook. Dimers' predictive model gives them an 18.9% probability to win it all.
3. Phoenix Mercury (+1800 on DraftKings)
Last season: Eliminated in first round of playoffs
The Mercury begin a new era in 2025. Diana Taurasi retired after a phenomenal career, Brittney Griner is off to Atlanta, and Nate Tibbetts enters his first year as the teams Head Coach.
Losing two of the team's top three scorers is a big deal, but the Mercury gained some pieces too - 5x All-Star Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally, the former Most Improved Player who sits sixth on the WNBA MVP odds board.
If the veteran additions can gel together alongside Kahleah Copper who just had the best season of her career, this team could jumpstart their new era.
At +1800, the odds for the Mercury are hard to pass up. They're just +1300 on other books, already creating clear value, but Dimers' 6.9% probability translates to fair odds of just +1350.
With the playoffs an easy get for the Mercury (-750 on FanDuel), these odds may not be this good for much longer.
