The Most Profitable NFL Teams To Bet On Against The Spread This Season

When you think of the best teams in the NFL, you're probably thinking of the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. But just because a team is winning games, it doesn't mean they're covering spreads and winning bettors money. With that in mind, we thought it'd make sense to tell you the teams that have the best against-the-spread (ATS) records in the NFL this season and let you know whether or not we trust it moving forward.
There are definitely teams in here that you won't expect, which is another reason to continue reading. This just might be able to help you win some money the rest of the way.

Profitable NFL Teams Against The Spread
Dallas Cowboys - 6-2 ATS
The Cowboys kept winning and covering even when Dak Prescott went down with an injury. Now, Dallas remains on Philadelphia's heels in the NFC East, and that's not that surprising to our team of data scientists. The DimersBOT was all over the Cowboys heading into the season, predicting Prescott and Co. would win the division and contend for a Super Bowl. With that in mind, there could be more of this coming the rest of the way.
Will It Continue? It's hard to say it won't. Our predictive analytics model loves the Cowboys, who should only get more and more comfortable with Prescott healthy.
New York Giants - 6-2 ATS
The Giants have been one of the most surprising teams in the entire NFL, as they're currently 6-2 both straight-up and ATS. We did, however, just see New York lose to Seattle last week, and the Giants have already had some close calls this season. Fortunately for Brian Daboll's team, the upcoming schedule is very easy. But we're a little more skeptical about this team than others.
Will It Continue? Of all the other teams on this list, the Giants have the best shot of letting bettors down. They overachieved early in the year, which could be setting them up for some failure down the stretch.
Tennessee Titans - 6-2 ATS
The Titans had some doubters heading into the season, but they are 6-2 and currently sit atop the AFC South standings. Even with a mediocre passing game, Derrick Henry and a good defense continue to provide good results for this Tennessee squad. But with Ryan Tannehill a bit banged up, it's a little hard to trust the Titans the rest of the season. Malik Willis did not look ready to be starting games for Tennessee these last two weeks, and this team will need to pass the ball eventually.
Will It Continue? Like the Giants, we think there's some risk in backing the Titans moving forward.
Atlanta Falcons - 6-3 ATS
The Falcons were 6-0 ATS heading into their meeting with the Bengals three weeks ago, but they have now failed to cover in three games in a row. This is, however, a team that is currently fighting for the top spot in the NFC South standings. Not many people believed in this group heading into the year, but it's clear now that Atlanta is a competitive football team. The Falcons are just very hard to stop on offense, despite not having the most explosive passing game in the world. But as long as they continue to run the ball well, they're going to cover spreads.
Will It Continue? We think so. The oddsmakers still aren't showing the Falcons much respect and we think they'll continue to play close games.
New York Jets - 6-3 ATS
The Jets earned an upset victory over the Bills last week and they're now 6-3 both SU and ATS this year. It has been a wild ride for New York, which lost its best offensive player, Breece Hall, to a torn ACL a few weeks ago. The Jets do, however, have a good group of running backs still, and when you combine that with a young defense that is loaded with playmakers, it's hard not to root for this team.
Will It Continue? It's definitely going to be hard to bet against them. Sauce Gardner is a legitimate shutdown corner and he's helping New York's defense make every game close. The Jets will continue to be competitive as long as Zach Wilson doesn't implode.
Cincinnati Bengals - 6-3 ATS
After getting off to a slow start to the year, the Bengals are beginning to round into shape. They beat the brakes off the Panthers last week and have now covered in five of their last six. With Joe Mixon coming off a five-touchdown performance, this team is clicking on all cylinders. The running game was actually one of the only inefficiencies for this team heading into last week, so it might be smooth sailing for Cincinnati if the team has that going now.
Will It Continue? It's not exactly hard to believe in this Cincinnati team right now. This group made it to the Super Bowl a year ago and appears to have woken up from its postseason hangover.
Seattle Seahawks - 6-3 ATS
The Seahawks won and covered against the Cardinals last week, marking the second time they've done that this season. At this point in the year, it's just hard to write off what Seattle has done. The Seahawks have an unbelievable running game with rookie Kenneth Walker III looking like a legitimate superstar. And Geno Smith no longer looks like a fluke under center. He's accurately spreading the football around and has the Seahawks offense looking great. And the defense is good enough to keep Seattle in games.
Will It Continue? The Seahawks might be more competitive than we expected, but they have a really tough schedule coming up. It might be hard for Pete Carroll's team to continue covering at such a high clip.
