NFL 2021 Week 15: SNF Saints vs. Buccaneers

BET: Total points OVER 46.5 (-110)
After all the doom and gloom in the last pick, time to flip things around and take a more positive approach. Primetime matchups often fail to live up to high expectations, but I think this one is going to be filled with points and I’m going with the over 46.5 here. I probably don’t need to say much about the Bucs considering their offense has been lethal all season, but this offense is nearly unstoppable and they’re going to feast against a Saints secondary that gives up over 260 YPG through the air. 30 or so feels like a safe expectation from Tampa, which means we only need 17 from New Orleans to hit our mark.
While the Taysom Hill QB experiment is going about as poorly as everyone thought it would, his legs cause issues for defenses and the mere presence of Kamara back in the lineup causes more headaches for defensive coordinators. The passing game is still suspect at best, but with Tampa’s beat up and inconsistent defensive back situation I think they provide enough easy opportunities for Hill to do some damage in the air too. This game could eclipse the 50 point mark if all goes to plan, and over 46.5 for two dangerous offenses is a very doable number.

PICK: Alvin Kamara Anytime TD (+115)
This number is extremely generous for a team with only one real weapon. Sure, the Bucs so a great job of stopping the run, but Kamara’s ability extend far into the passing game and he’ll be given opportunities to both run and catch the ball. At positive odds for Kamara to score in a game that I expect to have more than a couple of TDs, I’ll gladly ride the talent of our friend Alvin.
