Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay for Eagles vs. Texans
1. Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-120)
Last week one of the best stories in the NFL was a "homecoming game" for Washington WR Terry McLaurin, returning home to Indianapolis and making huge plays late to secure a win in front of his hometown crowd.
This week, it's Jalen Hurts who will have the same opportunity. Hurts was born in Houston and grew up 30 minutes from the Texans' stadium. This would be a fun bet even if Hurts wasn't such a big threat to find the end zone on the ground - but don't worry he is! Hurts has six rushing TDs on the season and hasn't scored one on the ground in two weeks. He's due, making Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown Scorer a perfect starter to our Same Game Parlay for TNF.
2. Miles Sanders Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-105)
It's not just Hurts who we expect to run wild. The Texans rank near the bottom of the league in rushing defense, and just last week they allowed Derrick Henry to run for 219 of the Titans' 314 total rushing yards against them.
Sanders is no Henry, but he's a more than capable running back in a contract year. and he has rushing touchdowns in three of his last four games. With the Texans vulnerable to big ground games, and the Eagles likely to take a big lead early, give us Sanders to score a touchdown.
3. Jalen Hurts Under 41.5 Rushing Yards (-113)
While the Texans' run defense is as bad as we just described, that doesn't mean Jalen Hurts will need to use his legs much to secure a victory. If you look at Hurts' game logs, there's a pattern worth noting that we expect to take hold here.
In hotly contested games decided by one score or less, Hurts is averaging over 63 yards per game on the ground, likely because he has to look to improvise more in big moments. In games the Eagles have won by more than eight points, Hurts is averaging just 28 yards per game rushing. With our expectation being the Eagles to win this one big, we like Jalen Hurts to go Under 41.5 rushing yards in this game.
