Sunday Night Football Same Game Parlay for Dolphins vs. Chargers
1. Justin Herbert Under 290.5 Passing Yards (-113)
Most fans are expecting a good ol' fashioned QB shootout at SoFi Stadium tonight, with both Justin Herbert and his counterpart Tua Tagovailoa capable of unloading on any given night. While our DimersBOT NFL projection model shares the sentiment of the gambling masses and is expecting a high scoring game, we think the line for Herbert is just a little too high. The man from Oregon has only hit this mark twice in his last ten games which was against some shoddy defenses in the Raiders and Texans. The Dolphins have had some minor problems defending in the air this season, but they're by no means awful and have enjoyed a fantastic past month, allowing less than 200 passing yards to their opponents over the last three games. DimersBOT has Justin Herbert down to pass for 281 yards.
2. Tua Tagovailoa Over 286.5 Passing Yards (-128)
While we may be fading Herbert, we are pushing all of our chips into the table for Tua tonight. The Miami offense has been electric this year, powered by Tua behind center with his two weapons in Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill having career years. The image of Waddle and Hill running routes will no doubt have haunted the dreams of the Chargers defense last night - a defense that has been allowing 14 yards per completion to their opponents over the past three weeks. If they give the likes of the Cheetah that kind of number, expect Tua to have a big one. Our projections forecast Tagovailoa to have 296 passing yards.
3. Gerald Everett Anytime Touchdown (+320)
We've identified a nice edge on the odds being offered by the sportsbooks for Chargers Tight End Gerald Everett to take advantage of a potentially nice matchup against the Dolphins. Miami rank among the league's worst for yards allowed to TEs this season and Everett is coming off one of his better weeks of the season last week when he went for 80 yards from five catches. Our projections say Everett is a 25.4% chance of scoring, placing his implied odds at around +293. This is a value find for a guy who Justin Herbert could look to regularly in the end zone.
