Penguins vs. Ducks Best Bets
PICK: Rickard Rakell Anytime Goal Scorer (+170)
The Pittsburgh Penguins hit the road as they begin a four game trip tonight against the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center.
The Pens are off a 2-1 home win against the Avalanche, in overtime, on Tuesday night. The Pens currently hold the final Wildcard spot in the Easter Conference, technically tied with the islanders but they have five games in hand.
Pittsburgh will look to get off to a good start on this trip and I am going to target a former Duck to play a key role tonight.
After spending nine plus seasons with Anaheim, Rickard Rakell returns to the Honda center to face his former team for the first time, as an opponent.
Rakell had a fantastic outing when these two teams met last month as he registered three assists in Pittsburgh's 4-3 Over time win.
Tonight, I am going with Rakell to put the biscuit in the basket. He gets a fabulous matchup as the Ducks are allowing 3.9 goals per game at home this season and a league high 38 shots per game.
Anaheim's home Penalty Kill is 6th worst at 76%. Five on Five, it doesn't get much better for the Ducks. Anaheim has allowed the fifth most goals at home in five on five situations and the most high danger scoring chances.
Rakell get's top line Power Play minutes for the Penguins and he plays on Pittsburgh's top forward line, with Crosby and Guentzel. Rakell has also scored a goal in 32% of his road games this season.
This should be a high scoring game and with Pittsbugh's Team Total prop juiced, I'll go with the former Duck to light the lamp against his former team tonight.
Bet Rickard Rakell Anytime Goal Scorer (+170) at BetMGM.
