Canadiens vs. Flyers Best Bets
PICK: Flyers -1 vs. Canadiens (+102)
PICK: Josh Anderson Over 2.5 SOG (+130)
The injury riddled Montreal Canadiens continue their road trip as they visit the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at Wells Fargo Center.
Montreal is coming off an impressive 5-2 win at New Jersey on Tuesday night. The Habs have many key players out of the lineup including Cole Caufield, Kirby Dach and Brendan Gallagher.
Montreal is 10-15-3 on the road this season, where they average only 2.4 goals per game and they are allowing 3.7 goals per game.
Jake Allen is confirmed to start in net for Montreal, who has a road record of 4-7-1 with a 3.41 GAA and a .905 save percentage.
Philly is home off a road trip, which doesn’t seem to matter this year in the NHL, having played 2 spirited games in Alberta.
The Flyers defeated the Flames 4-3 on Monday but followed that up with a 4-2 loss in Edmonton on Tuesday.
Philly has a home record of 11-14-3, where they average 2.7 goals per game and they allow 3.2. Montreal defeated the Flyers 5-4 earlier in the season in Montreal but I like the Flyers to get some revenge tonight at home.
I’ll go with the -1 line, at plus money.
I am also going to look at a player prop and that is Montreal forward Josh Anderson to eclipse 2.5 shots on goal. Anderson has been a horse for this team as he’s hit this mark in 8 of his last 10 games, averaging 2.9 SOG on 5.1 attempts.
The +130 price is outstanding on him and I’ll gladly give that a look.
So bet Flyers -1 vs. Canadiens (+102) and Josh Anderson Over 2.5 SOG (+130) at BetMGM.
