Sharks vs. Canucks Best Bets
Tuesday, December 27, 2022 - 10:00PM ET
PICK: Sharks at Canucks Over 6.5 (-120)
The Vancouver Canucks and the San Jose Sharks return from the holiday break to do battle at Rogers Centre in Vancouver.
Both teams have had a disappointing start to the season as The Canucks are 6th in the Pacific Division and the Sharks are 7th.
This is the third meeting of the season with the Canucks taking two Overtime victories in San Jose by scores of 4-3 and 6-5. One thing is for sure, when these teams get together we usually see plenty of goals, five of the last six meetings have seen at least 7 goals scored.
On the season, the Sharks are 21-13 to the over and 8-8 on the road, where they are averaging 3 goals per game and allowing 3.1. The Canucks are 19-12 to the over and 6-9 at home, where they are averaging 3 goals per game and allowing 4 goals per game.
Vancouver is led by forward Elias Pettersson, who recently returned from an injury and has made an impact as he has registered 2 goals and 5 assists in those 2 games. Elias leads the Canucks with 41 points on the season.
San Jose Defenseman Erik Karlsson is having a resurgence as he leads the team with 46 points. Both of these teams have had struggles in net as the Sharks have a team save percentage of .884 and the Canucks have a team save percentage of .881.
Games after a holiday break typically tend to go over the total as teams are not practicing, which can lead to some wide open hockey with defensive miscues.
I can see that being the case in Vancouver tonight and I'll grab Over, so bet Sharks at Canucks Over 6.5 (-120) with BetMGM.
