PICK: Brad Marchand 4+ Shots On Goals (+194)

The annual Winter Classic features the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on the Boston Bruins, at Fenway Park. These outdoor games can always be very unpredictable as weather can play a factor. Conditions look good in Boston today as it is expected to be 50 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

Coaches tend to stress putting pucks on net and look for rebounds in outdoor games like this and that is what I am expecting today. I am looking at Boston forward Brad Marchand and his alternate line of 4+ shots on goal. Marchand has been relatively quiet this season, as he only has 10 goals in 28 games and is averaging 2.7 shots per game but he is heating up in the shot department. Over his last three games, Marchand has shot on goal totals of five, three and six on attempts of eight, three and eight.

Marchand has also eclipsed this mark in three of his last four games against the Penguins, including having six shots on goal on nine attempts on November 1. Pittsburgh has been susceptible to allowing shots this season as they are allowing 34 shots per game, which is fourth-most in the league. The Bruins had 40 shots on goal in that November 1 meeting and I am expecting something similar today. I like Brad "The Rat" Marchand to have a big game on this stage and love the price of +194 for him to collect four shots on net, especially given his recent form. So bet Marchand to have 4+ SOG (+194) with BetMGM today.
