PICK: Tampa Bay Lightning Team Total Over 3.5 (-130)
The Battle of Florida sees its final regular season meeting tonight as the Florida Panthers visit the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena.
The Panthers are fighting for a playoff spot as they currently sit 3 points out of the final Wild Card spot in the East.
The Cats are coming off a 3-1 home loss to Buffalo on Friday night and are dealing with a few big name injuries as both Sam Bennett and Aleksander Barkov will miss tonight's game.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are pretty much locked into the 2nd or 3rd spot in the division but they will definitely be up for this rivalry game, especially with the way they have played of late.
The Bolts are off a 7-3 shellacking to the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday, in Pittsburgh.
Tampa also has another reason to be up for this game as they suffered a 7-1 defeat in Florida to the Panthers right after the All-Star break.
At home this season, the Bolts are the highest scoring team in the league as they average 4.1 goals per game.
They also have the 2nd best home Power Play, at 31%. On the road, the Panthers are allowing the 3rd most goals per game, at 3.9 and they have the 7th worst Penalty Kill, at 73%.
Sergei Bobrovsky is the likely starter in net for Florida and he has a career 4.21 goals against average and a .859 save percentage in 12 career games at Amalie arena.
All signs point to Tampa Bay filling the net tonight and although the juice is a bit high for my preference, I'll lay it on their team total Over 3.5.
