PICK: Canadiens at Sabres Over 7 (+104)
The Buffalo Sabres host the Montreal Canadiens in an Atlantic Division matchup tonight at KeyBank Arena.
Buffalo has fought themselves back into the playoff race thanks to two big wins over New Jersey and the Islanders.
Buffalo sits six points out with ten games remaining. Montreal has been playing wide open hockey lately as they are coming off an 8-2 win against Columbus on Saturday.
Buffalo also loves to open it up so I’m expecting goals tonight.Since the All-Star break, the Sabres are averaging 3.3 goals per game and they are allowing 4.4, which is the most in the league.
The Habs are averaging 3.5 goals per game since the break and they are allowing 3.6. These teams last met in Montreal in November, a game that resulted in a 7-2 Buffalo win.
The Sabres offense has been lethal all season and they are led by Tage Thompson, who leads the team with 44 goals and 89 points. Despite their injuries up front, the Habs can still put the puck in the net.
Neither team has gotten consistent goaltending as both are bottom ten in team save percentage this season.
We should be in for an entertaining back and forth bout tonight, in Buffalo so I’ll take the over, so bet Canadiens at Sabres Over 7 (+104) with BetMGM.
