The Winnipeg Jets and the St. Louis Blues look to go into the All-Star Break with wins as they do battle tonight in Winnipeg. The Blues have had a tough season as they have dealt with injuries and inconsistent play.
They are currently sixth in the Central Division with 49 points and sit eight points out of a playoff spot. Defensively, the Blues are allowing 3.6 goals per game (3.7 on the road) and they have a team Save Percentage of .887, 4th worst in the league.
Goaltender Jordan Binnington has a 3.29 goals against average and a .891 Save Percentage this season and he has not helped their defensive struggles.
The Blues have allowed opposing teams to score at least four goals in seven of their last eight games. The Winnipeg Jets have had a pleasant first half of the season. They are second in the Central division with 63 points, three points behind first place Dallas.
The Jets are coming off a 4-0 home loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night, a game in which they peppered Carter Hart with 40 shots but could not break through.
Winnipeg is averaging 3.2 goals per game this season at home and overall. Their offense is struggling lately as they have scored only three goals over their last three games but they have had success scoring against the Blues.
The Jets have won both previous meetings this season by scores of 4-0 and 5-2. In fact, the Jets have scored at least four goals in eight of the last 10 meetings.
