Blue Jackets vs. Sharks Best Bets
Tuesday, March 14, 2023 - 10:30PM ET
PICK: Blue Jackets at Sharks Over 6.5 (-128)
It’s a battle of bottom feeders tonight as the Columbus Blue Jackets visit the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center and I'm taking on DimersBOT by backing the Over.
The Sharks and the Jackets are 31st and 32nd, respectively, in the standings and will have eyes on the Number one overall pick, which will feature phenom Connor Bedard.
Typically when teams like this face off, goals are scored. That should especially be the case tonight as both teams are allowing 3.7 goals per game, which is bottom five in the NHL.
Kaapo Kahkonen is confirmed to start in goal for the Sharks and he sports a 3.82 GAA with a .879 save percentage.
Columbus’ goalie has not been announced but journeyman Micheal Hutchinson is likely. He has a 4.36 GAA and a .873 save percentage this season, in limited action.
The Sharks play a great deal of Overs at home, where the O/U is 22-9. Despite injuries/trades, both teams have enough offense to get this game to seven goals. In this year’s previous meeting, the Jackets handed the Sharks a 5-3 loss in Columbus.
We should see a similar goal output tonight, so I'll back the Over of 6.5 (-128) with BetMGM.
