NFL Conference Championships: Most Likely TD Scorers
-
Bengals - Joe Mixon (54.3% probability, -110 odds)
DimersBOT has the talented 25-year-old as the Bengals main TD threat in this championship game. In a match-up where most bettors expect the Chiefs to win, look for Mixon to be involved early in the piece. Our model has him projected for 65 rushing yards which would be a slight increase on his last three performances, and we know it doesn’t take much for smokin’ Joe to find his way in for six.
-
Chiefs - Tyreek Hill (64.6%, -150)
Betting on Chiefs touchdown scorers is a real gamble, given their success as a football team is based off finding so many avenues to score – but hey, that’s why we’re in this business! Tyreek Hill is the most obvious (and safe) choice if you’re looking for a Kansas City touchdown scorer. Cheetah is coming off a 150-yard, 1 touchdown game and it’s not hard to see why he’s the most potent threat on the KC offense. While DimersBOT has him down for 68 receiving yards, he’s got a huge opportunity to go 100+ once again against a Bengals team that has given up 248.4 yards per game (ranked 26th) to the pass, giving us confidence he’ll get enough opportunity to reach the endzone.
-
49ers - Deebo Samuel (55.4%, -105)
We don’t need to tell you that if the Niners are to reach Super Bowl LVI this season, it’ll be off the back of some Deebo magic. The WR (or RB) hurt his right knee after taking contact thanks to a stray helmet. The good news is he is practicing fully and doesn’t seem to be managing anything of significance so we’re happy to lock him in here. If you need confidence in the Niners’ ability to score after last week’s brutal slug-fest at Lambeau, let us take you back to their pair of regular season wins against the Rams this season. Deebo notched up 192 combined receiving yards off 11 targets, 81 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the way to two huge performances (Weeks 10 and 18). Deebo loves feasting on LA and we’re happy to watch him eat again!
-
Rams - Cooper Kupp (59.3%, -150)
Kupp has now scored in his last four games and has eight touchdowns over the course of the last eight games. Mind-blowing and, to be honest, not surprising. He’s arguably been the BEST WR in the game this season and, coming off the back of a 183-receiving-yard, 9-reception performance, he’s a huge lock to run it back on Sunday. We don’t need to convince you anymore, you know how good Kupp is, but what we will say is… consider him for 2+ touchdowns in this favorable match-up against San Francisco.
-
Value Play: Chiefs - Byron Pringle (+170)
Pringle has proven a reliable target for Patrick Mahomes in the redzone recently. He’s also shown it doesn’t take him much to score, logging 37 and 29-receiving-yard performances in his last two outings of which he scored two and one touchdowns, respectively. He’s easily the less obvious choice when you consider the receiving threats of Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, but at +170 odds in a game we expect the Chiefs to win, we’ll take him here.
-
Value Play: Rams - Odell Beckham Jr. (+135)
If you’ve seen the video of OBJ dancing in the locker room post-Bucs win that’s enough to get us a little excited about how he’s feeling. The confidence is up and he’s coming off a 69 yard (nice) game where he saw the most receptions he’s seen since middle of December last year. While he didn’t score last week, he’s still been a genuine threat in deep and at +135 odds it’s a risk we’re more than willing to take!
