Vikings vs. Eagles Best Bets and Analysis
Spread Breakdown
Since Nick Sirianni became the head coach of the Eagles, the team is 3-0 straight-up and 2-0-1 against the spread when playing as a home favorite. Philadelphia now hosts a Minnesota team that it has to feel confident against this week.
The Vikings have revamped their offense in going from Mike Zimmer to offensive "guru" Kevin O'Connell. Justin Jefferson looked unguardable in a win over the Green Bay Packers last week, but the Eagles should be able to put a bit more pressure on quarterback Kirk Cousins than the Pack were. And Cousins will likely be a bit more uncomfortable playing this game on the road, at night. It will be a hostile environment, which gives Philadelphia a big edge here.

The Eagles also have the luxury of sticking corner Darius Slay on Jefferson in this game. There aren't many defensive backs in football that can shut down Jefferson, but Slay will at least attempt to make him work harder for his receptions than Green Bay's corners did. The Eagles will also be counting on defensive ends Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick to get into the backfield quite a bit in this one, which is ultimately going to be the difference in a match-up between two teams with great offenses.
While we envision Philadelphia getting some timely stops in this game, we can't say the same for a Minnesota defense that is average, at best. Dual-threat quarterback Jalen Hurts should be able to pick apart the Vikings secondary, with wide receiver A.J. Brown playing a big role in that. Brown was a monster in his Eagles debut, hauling in 10 catches for 155 yards in the win over the Detroit Lions. Look for him to actually find the end zone here, and don't be afraid to back the Eagles -2.
We think Philadelphia is the better team on both sides of the ball, and that is why DimersBOT gives the team a 58% chance of winning on the moneyline. With a 2-point spread, there isn't much of a difference between backing the Eagles to win outright or cover.

Over/Under Breakdown
The Over is 6-2 in the eight home games the Eagles have played under Sirianni and it's also 4-2 when the team is coming off a road win in that time. Now, Philadelphia's high-powered offense will get a chance to go up against a very beatable Minnesota defense. With that in mind, the Eagles should score quite a bit in this game.
The Vikings also happen to be in a decent position to score some point here. Cousins looks like he's primed for a career year under O'Connell. He threw for 277 yards with two touchdowns and no picks last game, and he should be able to move the ball in this one. The Vikings could also get some explosive plays out of Dalvin Cook, who rushed for 90 yards in Week 1.

Best Bet: Vikings vs. Eagles
This play looks a little too easy for our liking — we generally try to avoid sucker bets — but we're taking the Eagles -2 as our best bet here. They're a slightly better team all around and happen to have home-field advantage in a night game.
We strongly suggest taking this with the FanDuel risk-free bet of up to $1,000 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Eagles don't cover, you'll still have plenty to work with in order to bet more games. You can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.
