NFL 2021 - Week 6 Betting Trends: Favorites Get The Job Done

Welcome to our weekly article, where we highlight some of the top betting trends identified across the NFL in Week 6 of the 2021 season.
Sunday saw a host of favorites win (and cover this week) whilst prop markets were dominated by back-up Running Backs scoring TDs.
But in addition to sitting on the couch and watching about 20 hours of football, this weekend also saw us continuing our love of betting on the NFL, with a couple of trends in particular standing out.
Favorites dominate the early slate
All seven favorites covered the spread in the early slate on Sunday, with bettors across the country cashing in on the big wins.
Below are the spread and final margins from all seven games:
Bengals -3.5 vs. Lions (won by 23)
Chiefs -6.5 vs. Washington (won by 18)
Vikings -2.5 vs. Panthers (won by 6)
Colts -11.5 vs. Texans (won by 28)

Backup RBs scoring TDs
Something that caught our eye from a props perspective this week was the number of backup RBs that got into the endzone. A lot of these guys were promoted to RB1 this week due to injuries, with their TD odds all longer than those of their teams' usual starters.
- Chuba Hubbard (Panthers)
- Darrel Williams x2 (Chiefs)
- Khalil Herbert (Bears)
- Alex Collins (Seahawks)
Some other interesting RBs scoring included three(3!) getting in for the Ravens, as well as a couple who played alongside their RB1s.
- Devonta Freeman, Latavius Murray, LeVeon Bell (Ravens)
- Rhamondre Stevenson (Patriots) - Damien Harris also had 100 yards
- Kenyan Drake (Raiders) - Josh Jacobs also scored
Cowboys bettors cash in AGAIN
Dallas have been hot to start 2021, with five wins and tight loss to the Buccaneers to show for it. But as well as that impressive win-loss record, the Cowboys are also the only team left in the league to have covered in every game this season.
The Cowboys have a bye this week before facing the Vikings in Week 8. What do you thin kthe spread will be in that game?
Teams that are 5-1 against the spread:
Arizona Cardinals
Green Bay Packers
