First Four Picks Wednesday March 16, 2022

Bryant vs. Wright State, 6:40PM ET

To be honest, Wright State probably shouldn’t be in this game. The Horizon is a decent conference that’s had its share of good teams over recent years, and I was surprised to see them end up here. And, while a date with Arizona won’t be all that exciting, I think they get the job done. Bryant was fantastic in the NEC and Peter Kiss is the top scorer in the country, but the overall talent is just far lower for Bryant and I doubt they can hold up. Take the Raiders to cover.

Notre Dame vs. Rutgers, 9:10PM ET

Speaking of teams I really wish I didn’t have to watch, let’s talk ND-Rutgers. Both of these programs lost their first conference tournament game and have the consistency of cottage cheese, also known as “gross” (that joke had layers, good for me). So, to be quite honest, I don’t have a ton of faith in either of them. We’re here to make money though, and Rutgers is where yours should be. The Scarlet Knights play dull basketball and grind out games, which makes for tough sledding with teams like the Irish who want to play games in the 70s or higher. Rutgers will dictate the tempo and win in the paint, which should be the difference.
