MLS Best Bets for Saturday, June 23

D.C. United vs. Cincinnati

The best team in the league keeps on dominating with Cincinnati coming out of the midweek fixture with their ninth straight win at home this season. While their home form has been impressive, they go into this away game with the 6-8-5 D.C. United as underdogs, due in part to a host of players who will be missing through international duty. Still, this is the best team in the MLS by some distance, and they were able to show how cohesive they work as a team unit on Wednesday with a 3-0 over Toronto. Our model likes the value on Cincy to win straight up, detecting a 4.4% edge on the sportsbook odds, but for some extra insurance, the double chance market looks like the play here.

Philadelphia vs. Miami

Lionel Messi might be close to making his debut for Miami but it won't be happening on Saturday night against the Union. Without Messi, this Inter team is still subpar, losing six games in a row while conceding 12 times during that span. The Union have made their home field a fortress, winning six and tying just once in their nine home games. It goes without saying that at a 71.5% probability, our model loves Philly to come away with all three points here, but we also recommend combining with the Over 2.5 Goals market to boost up the value with our model liking the Over on a 60% probability.

BET: Philadelphia to Win/Over 2.5 Goals (-108) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️

NY Red Bulls vs. Atlanta

One of the worst attacking teams will face one of the best when NY Red Bulls host Atlanta on Saturday night. Making matters worse for the Red Bulls - who average less than a goal a game this season - is the amount of talent they're losing to international duty with four players unavailable. Atlanta are unbeaten in their last seven games and should at least be able to extract a point away from home with our model detecting a 1.6% edge on a victory for the road team. Once again, the insurance of the double chance is the best play to make.
