The Winnipeg Jets begin a 4 game road trip as they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Nationwide Arena.
The Jets have won 3 in a row and are coming off a 3-2 shootout win on Tuesday night, at home, against the Seattle Kraken.
The Jets are currently 2nd in the Central and only 2 points behind the Dallas Stars. Winnipeg has had a fine year under new coach Rick Bowness and they are a sleeper team in the West, in my opinion.
David Rittich started the Seattle game, which means Connor Hellebuyck should get the nod in goal.
Connor is having a Vezina worthy season as he is 25-15-1 with a 2.41 goals against average and a .924 Save Percentage, with 3 shutouts.
On the road, the Jets are 14-11-1 where they average 3.1 goals per game and they allow 2.9. Winnipeg also has the 7th best road Power play and the 3rd best Penalty Kill.
The injury riddled Columbus Blue Jackets season has been a disappointment. They had injuries from the get go and now their best available Defensemen , Vladislav Gavrikov will not play as they await a trade partner.
The Jackets are 11-17-2 at home, where they average 2.9 goals per game and allow 3.9.
Their home Power play is 7th worst and their Penalty Kill 19th. Lastly, the Blue Jackets upset the Jets earlier this season by a 4-1 count, in Winnipeg.
