The Calgary Flames continue their five game road trip as they visit the Detroit Red Wings tonight at Little Caesars Arena.
The Flames are off a very entertaining 5-4 overtime loss to the Rangers on Monday night in New York.
Calgary is fighting for a playoff spot as they are currently tied with Minnesota for the last Wild Card Spot in the Western Conference.
The Flames will look to string together some wins on this trip and their offense, at least, has a nice matchup tonight in Detroit.
The Wings are off a 5-2 home loss to the Oilers on Tuesday night, I was on Edmonton Team Total over there and I am going to fade the Wings again tonight.
Detroit is allowing only 3 goals per game at home this season but Calgary's offense is hot. The Flames have scored at least 4 goals in four of their last five games. Calgary leads the league in shots on goal per game on the road, at 35.4.
This will spell trouble for Detroit as they have not gotten the goaltending they have expected this season from Ville Husso as he has a save percentage of .900 this season.
The Wings are also in the bottom half of the league in Five on Five goals allowed and high danger scoring chances allowed.
I think they are going to have a hard time containing a hot Flames' offense tonight and I'll back Calgary to get to four goals, at even money, so bet Calgary Flames Team Total Over 3.5 (+100) at BetMGM
