Here's how the Dimers model predicted the Aces, Fever and Mercury would all reach the WNBA semifinals.

The 2025 WNBA Playoffs are down to the final four, and Dimers’ predictive model has once again proven its edge—correctly spotlighting three of the last four teams standing months ago when the season was still taking shape.

Back in June, our model identified the Las Vegas Aces, Phoenix Mercury, and Indiana Fever as championship futures packed with value. Fast-forward to September, and those three teams now join the Minnesota Lynx in the semifinals—meaning followers of our projections hold tickets on 75% of the remaining field.

How Dimers Called It Early

Dimers’ WNBA Futures model uses thousands of advanced season simulations to spot edges the sportsbooks overlook.

Part of our Dimers Pro subscription, our WNBA Futures update all season long, comparing the latest odds against our probabilities to identify valuable betting opportunities, offering exclusive insights to Dimers Pro subscribers.

Before the All-Star break, the Aces were sitting at +1300 on BetMGM, the Mercury at +1600, and the Fever at +475—each carrying much higher true-win probabilities than the market implied.

That’s why we flagged them as buy-low futures, and now, they’re just one series away from the Finals.

  • Las Vegas Aces: Despite early inconsistency, the Aces regained form behind A'ja Wilson's dominance and Jackie Young’s scoring, rattling off 16 straight wins to end the season. Their first-round series win over Seattle reminded the league why this roster remains one of the most dangerous. We called them out a second time as a big value play amidst their struggles.

  • Phoenix Mercury: Phoenix’s revamped core of Satou Sabally, Alyssa Thomas, and Kahleah Copper has fueled a postseason surge. The Mercury knocked off the reigning champion New York Liberty in the first round, riding their defense and balanced scoring attack. They now face last year's runner-up and current favorite, the Minnesota Lynx.

  • Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark missed most of this season before being shut down due to injuries, but Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell delivered when it mattered most, sending Indiana past the Atlanta Dream in a dramatic three-game series that saw them come back in the final seconds of Game 3. An energized team has elevated the Fever’s ceiling, turning them from a young team into a legitimate title threat.

The lone team Dimers did not tab in advance? The Minnesota Lynx, who enter the semifinals as heavy favorites per current model simulations (60.6% title probability).

What makes this predictions so valuable, is that those who followed these bets are guaranteed to have at least one of these three teams in the WNBA Finals with the Aces and Fever facing each other.

If the Mercury knock off the Lynx, then there's a guaranteed winner waiting.

It doesn't get much better than that.

Updated WNBA Finals Odds vs. Dimers’ Projections

Looking at the latest markets, sportsbooks like BetMGM list the Lynx as -185 favorites, with the Aces at +180, Mercury at +1400, and Fever at +6600.

But according to Dimers’ model, the gap isn’t that wide—our current probabilities give Las Vegas a 32.1% chance (fair odds closer to +210), while Phoenix and Indiana remain live dark horses.

For bettors who tailed our preseason calls, that means you’re holding tickets on three of the four teams left—massively increasing your chances of cashing in on a futures play.

The Bottom Line

With the semifinals set, Dimers Pro subscribers are sitting in a dream spot. The advanced simulations that flagged value on Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Indiana months ago have delivered, with all three teams now just two wins from the WNBA Finals.

The model did its job. Now it’s time to see if one of those futures pays off in full thanks to Dimers Pro.
