College Basketball Best Bets for Wednesday, November 9

Seton Hall Pirates vs. Monmouth Hawks - 8:00PM ET

Shaheen Holloway takes over at Seton Hall and will be making his home debut in what should be a packed house. The Pirates will have plenty of new faces, highlighted by KC Ndefo, who re-unites with his former coach, but they also return five key members' of last year's rotation, and should have firepower on both sides of the ball.

On the other side is Monmouth, who had a great season last year but loses everybody important. Their leading returning scorer averaged just 5.3 points per game last year, and on the whole, only 18% of minutes played last season are back for the Hawks.

With so much turnover, and Holloway looking for a statement win, we'll back Seton Hall to win this one big.

BET: Seton Hall -20.5 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook

South Dakota State Jackrabbits vs. Boise State Broncos - 9:00PM ET

Boise State returns only only one double digit scorer (Marcus Shaver) from last year's team that had their fair share of ups and downs. The Broncos are ranked 85th on Kenpom to start the season, but it could take some time for them to approach their ceiling.

South Dakota State lost their do it all superstar Baylor Scheierman to Creighton, but after going 30-5 a year ago and having one of the best offenses in the country, there's still reason to like the Jackrabbits.

They return three other starters from last year's team, and had five players score in double figures in their first game of the season - a one-point overtime loss at Akron (ranked 110th on Kenpom), in which they led by six at the half. We like the Jackrabbits to cover here.

BET: South Dakota State +7.5 (-115) at DraftKings Sportsbook

Louisville Cardinals vs. Bellarmine Knights - 9:00PM ET

In one of the weirder twists of fate in college basketball last year, Bellarmine won their conference tournament and failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament due to an outdated rule that prevents schools transitioning between divisional levels from playing in the postseason in their first four seasons.

Despite that, Bellarmine hung tough with Saint Mary's and UCLA last year, losing by nine points and 13 points respectively.

Louisville may be the worst high major team in the country. After firing Chris Mack, the Cardinals went 13-19 last year and the early results this season are even less promising. The Cards lost their first exhibition game to Lenoir-Rhyne and then beat Chaminade by seven points. Bellarmine is far better than both those teams, and we expect them to cover.

BET: Bellarmine +8.5 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook
