College Basketball Best Bets for Tuesday, November 22

Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Cincinnati Bearcats - 5:00PM ET

Cincinnati ruined the day yesterday for bettors everywhere (myself included) when they stormed back from an 18-point deficit with 90 seconds remaining to cover +9.5 with a 10-0 run to close the game in Maui. While the Lahaina Civic Center rims look soft again this year, allowing for all types of shots to go in, Cincy's shot quality was significantly worse than any other team in this field, and we don't expect the fadeaway long twos to continue to go in for long.

This Ohio State team isn't particularly great at any one thing, but they're good at a lot of them. Zed Key should have his way inside in this matchup, and we can't see Ohio State coming away without covering.

Creighton Bluejays vs. Arkansas Razorbacks - 8:00PM ET

Creighton skeptics had to hedge their bets a bit after yesterday's impressive win over the monstrous Texas Tech defense. The Bluejays shot a whopping 45% from deep on 20 attempts, and if those shooting numbers continue, there won't be many teams in college basketball that can keep up with Creighton this year.

Arkansas has the talent to match, and the Razorbacks have looked the part this year winning all four of their games by 15 or more points. The biggest difference jn this matchup could be experience - Creighton's entire starting lineup has played together in big games like this as a cohesive unit. Arkansas, made up almost entirely of freshmen, has not, and they're still missing the biggest star of their newcomers, Nick Smith.

Arizona Wildcats vs. San Diego State Aztecs - 10:30PM ET

It's rare that I refer to one of my picks as a "play of the day", but that's exactly what we have here. I absolutely love this Arizona team, despite their blown cover late last night. This is the best offense in the country, and the Cats play at the fastest tempo in the entire sport. It has shades of Gonzaga teams from years past, which shouldn't surprise anyone with Tommy Lloyd manning the sideline.

San Diego State has one of the best defenses in college hoops, so they are no slouch. This could be an unstoppable force vs. an immovable object game. But we think great offense beats great defense tonight, as we don't suspect San Diego State's shotmakers to have as much success as they did last night.
