Blackhawks vs. Flyers Best Bets

PICK: Philadelphia Flyers Team Total Over 3.5 (-117)

The Chicago Blackhawks hit the road as they visit the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at Wells Fargo Center.

The Hawks are in the basement of the league as their 28 points ranks dead last. Chicago is coming off a 4-3 overtime home win against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night.

Chicago is allowing 3.7 goals per game this season, which is 5th worst in the league. On the road, the Hawks are allowing 3.3 goals per game and surprisingly, they allow the least amount of high danger scoring chances in five on five situations, which leads to their goaltending.

Alex Stalock has been very solid for them but he is in concussion protocol, which leads to Petr Mrazek being the likely starter.

The former Flyer has had his struggles this season as he sports a 4.17 goals against average and a .877 save percentage. The Flyers offense is hot right now as they have scored at least four goals in seven of their last ten games.

They are led by Travis Konecny, who is having a career year. TK leads the team with 24 goals and 48 points and has multi-point games in four out of his last five home games.

Though not a playoff team, Philly has handled lesser competition lately, especially at home where they average three goals per game.

The Flyers have scored at least four goals in four out of their last five home games and I like them to do it again tonight against a bad Blackhawk team.
