BIG $15K Gambling Win: How A Night on White Claws Turned Into a Huge Parlay Payout

A night on the White Claws is to thank for one of the biggest wins of this past weekend when a three-leg Player Performance/Moneyline parlay paid one bettor almost $15,000.
“It’s pretty funny, I had a few White Claws and in the actual tweet (posting the ticket) I said ‘Lotto ticket, I blame the claws,’” JD told Dimers.com this week, as he basked in the afterglow of the alcohol-induced parlay.
“The Claw is the law.”
The big bet, which began with Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton to score a home run in a New York win over Boston on Sunday, and ended with an Ezekiel Elliott Anytime Touchdown in the Cowboys’ Monday Night Football win over the Eagles, returned odds of +6560, paying out $14,985 from the $225 outlay.
But it was the second leg, requiring an Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown paired with a Green Bay win over the 49ers that caused the most stress, with the Packers needing every last second on the clock, scoring a field goal to win the game on the very last play.

Reminiscing about the winning ticket, which the man under the Twitter handle @j2110_ posted to his 9,000 followers on Sunday evening, JD says that while he may have been slightly under the effect of alcohol, there was solid reasoning behind the play.
“This particular bet I was riding the hot hand of Giancarlo (Stanton). He’s been on total fire and the odds (+500) were, in my opinion, too spicy to pass up,
“Aaron Jones had three touchdowns the week prior and his odds to score and Green Bay to win seemed fair to me as well,
“Finally, Zeke to score on Monday night against a putrid Eagles defense seemed like a great bet at +210,
“It just seemed like a logical bet and parlay combination for the odds they were offering.”
There was some hedging, though. Once Green Bay snuck past the Niners on Sunday, the smart bettor made sure to hedge his bets to guarantee a win, no matter what happened in the Monday night finale, telling us that he spent that day in the lead up consulting other members of the online community about the best plan of attack.
“I wound up hedging $2700 off of those winnings,” he said.
The big windfall isn’t the first time JD has won big gambling. The Fantasy Football fan who discovered gambling via DFS and translated his love of data into sports betting over nine years ago, has amassed a large and devoted following via social media, hitting payouts in the thousands almost weekly.
Speaking of his social media profile, the big bettor believes that it’s not just those big hits that have people coming back to him for more.
“I legitimately try to help others win in just about every sport,” he told us.
“I’m sharing odds boosts, sharing my angles, and providing feedback to others’ bets as much as possible,
“I am also cognizant of the fact that I have hit some very, very, lucky parlays,”
Those parlay wins don’t seem so lucky to the naked eye, with multiple wins in baseball, football and UFC - and that’s just last week.

“I think sharing the parlays and seeing others tail the pick makes the win so much better,” he said.
While the start to the NFL season has been rough for some bettors who are still trying to get a feel for how certain teams play, JD has some advice to those who have been toiling away without result.
“It’s been very tricky so far (the start to the NFL season). I think the best thing to do is try not to weigh the prior week’s performance too heavy,
“Research the matchups, find out who the beat writers are on both teams and try to find some angles that you like,
“For me, Teasers have been profitable. I’ll find two teams that should win and find some two-team teasers to get the lines under the key numbers (3 and 7),” he explained.
When asked how exactly the wunderbettor plans out his weekend of gambling, he says that gathering as much information via social media and Discord servers from trusted people is vital.
“The information shared (in those channels) is valuable and together as one unit we’re able to come up with some collective rationale behind some bets. I also use group chats as a point of feedback,”
We can’t wait to see what the fastidious JD comes up with this weekend!
JD’s Gambling Advice:
- Do not only bet parlays. Mix it up, do straight bets, round robins, odds boosts and teasers. One thing that resonated with me when I was new to betting was when a bookmaker said to me "When a book sees you betting nothing but parlays and heavy moneyline favorites, they know it's just a matter of time when they will have your entire bankroll." That stuck with me and I try to not only do those types of bets, but to expand my mix with all sorts of different bets.
- Try to open up a few different sportsbooks so that you can compare odds and get their welcome bonuses. Don't just stick to one book. Find the best offers and deals. (Editor's note: Dimers.com has a full list of welcome offers of all the big books on our Best Books page)
- Try to stick to sports you know well. Don't bet on every sport just because it's on TV.
- Have fun with this and don't bet what you can't afford to lose. The percentages of people who end up on top is very low. I always mention ‘Gamble responsibly’ at the end of most of my plays. You just never know who is tailing your plays and who might just have started following you and tailing blindly. The reality is when I hit a lucky parlay like I did, people think this can be duplicated the next day and that couldn't be further from the truth.
