NFL Props for Thursday, October 7, 2021

Rams vs. Seahawks, Thursday Night Football, 8:20pm (EDT)

PICK: Russell Wilson OVER 20.5 rushing yards (-115)

From a matchup standpoint, there are plenty of angles to take on Thursday night. In the two games that the Rams looked dominant, they played stationary, pocket passers (Bears, Bucs). The two games they struggled, the QB’s were more mobile (Colts, Cardinals). Inside pressure from Donald works against the likes of Tom Brady and Andy Dalton, but without edge rushers to contain when the pocket collapses and plays extend, the Rams defense suffers. This bodes very well for Russell Wilson and Seattle. Carson Wentz had 5 rushes for 37 yards and Kyler Murray had 6 for 39. Russell Wilson rushing yards over 20.5 is a solid option.

Everett missed week 4 due to Reserve/COVID-19 list but tested negative on October 4th. He requires one more negative test to play in Thursday’s game. The Seahawks TE has 8 receptions for 77 yards and TD so far in 2021 and I love a good revenge game story line. Last week, TE Maxx Williams had one of his best performances of his career vs the Rams to the tune of 5 receptions 66 yards and 1 TD as Taylor Rapp is a weak link in that secondary.

PICK: Matthew Stafford OVER 2.5 passing TDs (+144)

So far this season, Stafford has gone over this number in two of four games, with the two 'down' days still seeing him throw two touchdowns.

The Rams offense will be determined to bounce back this week after putting up their lowest total of the season (20 points) and in order for them to do that, we expect it to be down to the QB and his star receivers. There's simply too much value on the board here for a guy who has genuine MVP aspirations.
