The Guardians are one of the biggest surprises in the MLB this season, making the playoffs despite having one of the youngest rosters in the league. Their manager, Terry Francona, is no stranger however, and we're sure he'll have the young guys ready. Cleveland is at home here, and should feel confident after winning the regular season series 4-2. Shane Bieber is on the mound for the Guardians, facing the Rays' ace Shane McClanahan, who is just 3-3 in starts on the road this season. We think Cleveland's magic continues into Game One.

Mariners vs. Blue Jays, 4:07PM ET
The Mariners ended the longest playoff drought in baseball, making the postseason for the first time since 2001. There will be some extra juice for Seattle in this one, and while it's their first postseason appearance, they'll be facing a pitcher in the same situation. Alek Manoah is on the mound for Toronto, making his first career playoff start. Being the team with nothing to lose can often be fuel in a spot like this, and Seattle will be feeling like underdogs that can use that mojo to their advantage. The Mariners went 5-2 against Toronto in the regular season, so they should be confident coming in, and we like their chances to steal Game One on the road.

Padres vs. Mets, 8:07PM ET
Much was made of the Mets' meltdown late in the regular season to lose the division, but after all the drama, they still find themselves hosting Game One against the San Diego Padres with their ace Max Scherzer on the mound. There aren't many pitchers in baseball I'd rather avoid in the postseason than Scherzer, and he should stabilize any nerves for New York with his poise on the hill. The Mets are 54-27 at home this season, and they rebounded from the Braves debacle by sweeping the Nationals in three games in two days to restore momentum. Trumpets will be blaring, and the Mets will have a great chance to win this game.
